Happy pre-holiday weekend Thursday! We hope you are as excited as we are for Katie’s season premiere in just 10 short days. This week we are previewing the lucky men who hope to get cozy with Katie and celebrating Brooke Blurton (Bachelorette Australia), the first openly bisexual lead cast in franchise history.
Love Potion No. 29… or 30?
Katie’s quest for love is about to embark with 29 potential suitors (and 1 mystery suitor) vying for her heart. Despite their ‘fun’ facts being possibly the lamest tidbits of information we could possibly learn, the cast seems diverse and well-rounded, from math teacher Connor B. to Karl the motivational speaker and everywhere in between. The best part – none of these candidates are under 25 years old, so we hope for Katie’s sake that their fully-developed brains are ready for a serious shot at love. You can find the official candidate breakdown here.
Brooke Blurton, Ladies and Gentlemen
Brooke Blurton is set to make Bachelor history later this year as she has been cast as the first openly bisexual and indigenous lead for the franchise, making her appearance on Bachelorette Australia. Both men and women will be encouraged to apply for her season. Brooke is incredibly excited for her chance to “choose her person” and also adds that she is unsure if Australia is ready/comfortable with it, but she challenges them to think about why it might make them uncomfortable. We hope that the Bachelor franchise stateside chooses to follow suit with Bachelorette Australia and make this sort of representation more prominent. The best of luck on finding your person, Brooke!
Can We Steal You for a Sec?
- Sydney Hightower, from Pilot Pete’s season, announced her engagement to San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. The couple was elated to share the news about this ring, and they hope to win a Super Bowl ring in the near future.
- Speaking of engagements (to professional athletes, no less), Haley Ferguson (Bachelor 20, BIP 3, 4, and 6) is boo-ed up and will soon be known as Haley Palve, after her Finnish hockey-playing mans Oula Palve. Congrats to the cute couple!
Do It for the Gram
We follow everyone, so you don’t have to.
